LAURA BALLANTYNE

Laura Ballantyne has 7 years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician.  This is a second career for her- she graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communications and spent 10 years as Assistant Marketing Director for the University of Denver.  She decided to return to school and graduated in 2002 from Gwinnett Technical College with an Associates of Applied Science degree and soon after passed her test to become an RVT.

Laura worked at Roswell Animal Hospital from 2002-2007 as a surgery technician.  In July of 2007 she joined the staff of SFAH.  Laura cares for each patient as lovingly and meticulously as if they were her own family member.  She is truly a patient advocate, not only for our patients, but for animals in general.  Laura’s special interests include surgery and feline medicine.

Laura has been married to her husband Joel for 24 years.  They have a 17 year old daughter, Hanna, as well as 2 dogs (Sadie and Bert) and 2 cats (Jules and Patches), all rescued pets.  In her spare time Laura enjoys boating, running, and tennis.
